Alex Pereira has solidified his position as the top contender at 205 pounds, delivering a spectacular second-round knockout against Jiri Prochazka to cap off the UFC 303 event with a bang.

Prochazka, who entered the fight with 26 knockouts to his name, was overpowered by the light heavyweight champion. Pereira landed a knockdown in the closing second of the first round, putting Prochazka in a precarious position.

Although Prochazka was saved by the bell, his respite was brief. Pereira unleashed a powerful head kick seconds into the second round, sending Prochazka crashing to the canvas.

Referee Herb Dean did not immediately intervene, compelling Pereira to deliver additional blows until Dean had no choice but to stop the fight.

“His power is out of this world,” Joe Rogan said in commentary of Pereira.
