UK Election Results 2024 : Today, millions of Brits are casting their votes to elect 650 members of parliament. This page will provide updates throughout the night as the results of the UK general election come in. We will also follow developments live on our blog.
Last Poll Projections
Heading into the vote, the last YouGov poll projected that the opposition Labour Party would win a record number of seats. The question remains: will they achieve this, or will the Tories manage to avoid a significant defeat? Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party is too in contention!
Timeline for Results
- Polling Station Closure: Polling stations will close at 10 p.m. BST.
- Exit Poll: Immediately after the polling stations close, the exit poll will be published, giving an early indication of who might be leading.
- First Results: The first local results are expected around 11 p.m. BST, about an hour after polling stations close.
- Main Results Window: Most constituencies are expected to declare winners between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. BST.
